Lab, located on South Padre Island,
Texas near the mouth of
the Rio Grande, serves the missions
of university education,
coastal research, and public
service/public education, by
providing comprehensive research and
study on environmental conditions of
the Lower Texas Coast.
Researchers maintain information
about beach erosion, water runoff
into the Gulf of Mexico, water
quality and fish and marine life
research of the species indigenous
to the region.
